Custom Building Products, LLC in Lithia Springs, GA is hiring an experienced Maintenance Mechanic. This full-time role runs Monday to Thursday, 4:00 PM to 2:30 PM with a $1/hour shift premium and an additional $1/hour after 90 days.

Candidates should have at least five years of industrial maintenance experience and a strong ability to maximize uptime on manufacturing equipment. You will collaborate with Production, Shipping, and other departments, performing preventive maintenance and handling

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain plant process machinery including mixers, packers, motors, conveyors, and related systems.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting and resolve issues.
• Operate light mobile equipment (forklifts, welders, man-lifts, skid loaders).
• Provide breakdown reports, track parts usage, and read electrical/mechanical diagrams.
• Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance per schedule.
• Assist with plumbing, carpentry, and general facility maintenance.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced MAINTENANCE MECHANIC to join our Lithia Springs, GA plant. This is a full-time position Monday to Thursday, 4:00 PM to 2:30 PM with additional $1.00/hour shift premium. This position requires at least five (5) years of industrial maintenance experience. You will be responsible for ensuring our customers' satisfaction by achieving maximum uptime on our manufacturing equipment. You will also work closely with all departments in the facility, including Production, Shipping, and more. About the Role

Responsibilities:

• Knowledge in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
• Install, repair, and maintain plant process machinery including mixers, packers, motors, pneumatic systems, and conveyor systems, and provide a detailed written description of work performed.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting to determine the source of the problem, and correct the issue once identified.
• Operate light mobile equipment such as forklifts, portable welding machines, man-lifts, and skid loaders.
• Ability to provide breakdown reports, parts usage, and the ability to read electrical and mechanical diagrams.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment per assigned schedule.
• Some facility maintenance may include plumbing, sheetrock work, carpentry, etc.

• Maintain a current state Driver’s License and a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
• Good communication and interpersonal relationships.
• Capable of working in confined spaces.
• Must be able to work overtime, on-call duties when necessary.
• Able to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb.
• Must be able to perform heavy work and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently.
• Candidates with Knowledge on NEC and NFPA codes and standards preferred.
