Job summary

Custom Building Products, LLC is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic for our Lithia Springs, GA plant. This full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with a likelihood of overtime and up to a $1.00/hr increase after 90 days to recognize performance.

You will be responsible for maintaining manufacturing equipment to maximize up time, collaborate with Production and Shipping, and contribute to a team-oriented environment with opportunities for career advancement.

Qualifications

• Experience in general maintenance, mechanical repair, or as a handyman.
• Ability to read and follow technical service manuals.
• PLC practical experience and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform building maintenance tasks, fix electrical and plumbing issues and change filters.
• Carpentry and assembly work: build shelves, repair doors, assemble equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical or structural problems and select proper repair methods.
• Safely operate hand and power tools and diagnostic equipment.

We are looking for an experienced MAINTENANCE MECHANIC to join our Lithia Springs, GA plant. This is a full-time position Monday to Friday (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM) with likelihood of overtime. Responsibilities

About the Role

• Building Maintenance: Fix minor electrical and plumbing problems like leaky faucets, broken switches, and filter changes.
• Carpentry & Assembly: Build shelves, repair doors, and assemble furniture or equipment
• Diagnostics: Troubleshoot mechanical or structural issues and choose the best repair method
• Tool Operation: Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic testing equipment safely.
• Job Requirements
• Experience: Proven history in general maintenance, mechanical repair, or as a handyman.
• Ready and able to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to understand technical service manuals and maintain basic records for repair work done.
• PLC practical experience and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues.
• Ability to perform assigned tasks properly and in a timely manner.
• Ability to operate personal computer and knowledge of basic computer applications, including computer generated parts and service manuals.
• Maintain a current state Driver’s License and a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
• Good communication and interpersonal relationships.
• Capable of working in confined spaces.
• Must be able to work overtime, on-call duties when necessary.
• Able to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb.
• Must be able to perform heavy work exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally; and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently; and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Candidates with Knowledge on NEC and NFPA codes and standards preferred.
