Job summary

Furst-McNess Company is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic at our Lake City, FL location. The role involves preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of plant equipment, facilities, and grounds in a warehouse/production setting.

Shifts include 2nd and 3rd with overtime as needed, onsite work, and a comprehensive benefits package. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, technical maintenance training, and 2+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or technical training preferred.
• Experience in maintenance in production, manufacturing, warehouse, or agricultural setting preferred.
• Ability to read basic blueprints and schematics; forklift certification preferred; willingness to obtain certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production, packaging, and warehouse equipment and facilities.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical (basic 3-phase), hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Support fabrication, welding, plumbing, carpentry, and minor construction projects as needed.
• Maintain maintenance records and parts inventory; follow GMP and safety guidelines.
• Operate tools, forklifts, pallet jacks, lifts, and safety equipment; participate in improvements.
