Job summary

RRD is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for the 1st Shift (7am - 3:30pm) at our Saint Charles, MO facility. You will maintain production equipment, troubleshoot faults, and perform mechanical repairs across a range of machinery, including die cutters, presses, and conveyors.

Ideal candidates will have strong ability to read diagrams and manuals, along with experience in precision measurement, welding, and machining.

Qualifications

• Ability to install, troubleshoot, repair, overhauls, align, test and maintain complex equipment and machinery.
• Advanced knowledge of equipment control boards to trace malfunctions and distinguish mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical or electronic failures.
• Ability to interpret complex multiview drawings, sketches, wiring diagrams and manufacturer specifications to isolate malfunctions.
• Knowledge of geometry, shop mathematics and formulas to calculate angles, clearances and fits.
• OSHA, HazMat, Lock Out Tag Out knowledge.

Job Description

1st Shift (7am - 3:30pm)

• Maintain organization's production equipment
• Perform electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting and repairs in response to equipment errors or failures
• Repairs and maintains, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications, machinery and mechanical equipment, such as die cutters, sheet-fed presses, inserting machines, folders,conveyor systems, bindery equipment etc. using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments
• May repair or reproduce parts using welders or machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, drill presses, surface grinders or other machine shop equipment
• Building repairs and other miscellaneous duties as assigned
• Share your expertise and help train other employees as assigned
• Carrie out other responsibilitiesas delegated by management in alignment with evolving business needs

Qualifications

• Skill in installing, troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling, aligning, testing, and maintaining complex equipment and machinery
• Advanced knowledge of equipment and machine control bodes in sufficient depth to trace symptoms of equipment malfunction and distinguish mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic failures from those which are electrical or electronic
• Ability to make precise adjustments for alignment, parallelism, and concentricity due to the continuing effects of malfunctions throughout the entire machine or equipment
• Ability to perform precise measurements of air and fluid pressure and flow, and knowledge of the mechanisms used to convert such readings into measurable units
• Ability to interpret complex multiview drawings, sketches, wiring diagrams, manufacturers' specifications, and other technical material to isolate malfunctions in such devices as hydraulic pumps and motors, mechanical clamping devices, and electric or hydraulic axis drive and positioning systems
• Advanced knowledge of construction and assembly techniques and the ability to manufacture replacement parts with complex configurations or assemble unique devices with unusual angular relationships
• Knowledge of geometry, shop mathematics, and handbook formulas to provide for surfaces with interrelated dimensions and to calculate angles, clearances, fits, pressure, flow, and other parameters of interest.
• Knowledge of OSHA, HazMat, Lock Out Tag Out, NEC, etc.
• Lifting up to 50 lbs
• Walking/standing, 6-7 hours
• Bending/stooping, 2-3 hours

Thepay range for this role at the noted location is $26.26 to $35.per hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
