Job summary

RRD is seeking an Army MOS qualified Maintenance Supervisor for 1st shift in Smyrna, TN. The role requires maintaining production equipment, performing electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, and repairing various machinery such as die cutters and presses, using hand and power tools.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma/GED and 4–5 years of related experience, with strong mechanical reasoning, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent (required).
  • Mechanical and/or Electronic courses (preferred).
  • Typical four to five years' experience in maintenance or related field.
  • Strong mechanical reasoning and conscientiousness.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under time constraints.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Windows-based PC applications.
  • Experience with electronics and pneumatics.
  • Intermediate electrical troubleshooting on AC/DC circuits with multi-meter.
  • Basic root cause analysis skills should be demonstrated.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with saws, drills, cutters, grinders, torches, welders, and other fabrication equipment.

Responsibilities

Job Description
  • Maintain organization's production equipment.
  • Perform electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting and repairs in response to equipment errors or failures.
  • Repairs and maintains, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications, machinery and mechanical equipment, such as die cutters, web and sheet-fed presses, inserting machines, folders, conveyor systems, bindery equipment etc. using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • May repair or reproduce parts using welders or machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, drill presses, surface grinders or other machine shop equipment.

Additional Information

The salary range for this role at the noted RRD location is $22.41 - $31.99/hour. Starting pay decisions are determined based on multiple factors including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, skills, experience, certifications, proficiency, performance, shift, location, and other business needs. Typically, roles follow step progressions to a target rate or set increments over time. Depending on the role, in addition to the hourly rate of pay, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and/or stand-by pay.
