Responsibilities

• Observes and listens to operating machines or equipment to diagnose machine malfunction and determine need for adjustment or repair
• Studies blueprints, sketches, machine parts, or specifications to determine type and dimensions of materials required
• Measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points on surfaces using such measuring and marking devices as calibrated ruler, micrometer, caliper, and scribe
• Dismantles machines or equipment, using hand tool or power tools to examine parts for defect or to remove defective part
• Replaces defective part with new part or repairs or reproduces part from various kind of material, using hand tools, such as scraper, press brake, file, offhand grinder and drill
• Assembles and test operates machine to verify correction of malfunction
• Performs scheduled inspection, maintenance, and lubrication of machinery and equipment
• Fabricates weldments from sketches and blueprints, using arc or gas welding equipment
• Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electrical components such as wiring, switches, or relays
• Diagnoses problems in hydraulic and pneumatic systems and make repairs
• Diagnoses and repairs or replaces piping, plumbing, painting, lighting, and simple HVAC
• Performs environmental sampling and record keeping
• Troubleshoots and corrects robotic programs and automation
• Troubleshoots and corrects to PLC controlled automation

Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:15 PM
