Lakeside Book Company in Indianapolis is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for 1st shift to keep our warehousing equipment running smoothly. You'll troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems across conveyors and climate control equipment.

You should have a high school diploma and proven maintenance experience; read technical manuals and schematics; work safely in a fast-paced environment with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

Maintenance Mechanic - 1st Shift (Finance)

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring that all equipment and machinery are running properly. You will be solving problems, repairing equipment, and performing preventative maintenance on a variety of systems and equipment within our warehouses. Whether it's helping to keep our conveyor systems running or ensuring that our climate control systems function flawlessly. You'll work closely with a supportive team that values collaboration and communication. Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of warehouse equipment and machinery.


• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic or in a similar role.


• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems - such as, conveyor systems and components, Shanklin wrappers, pallet stretch wrappers


• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.


• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


• Willingness to learn


• Ability to stand, walk, lift, stoop, bend, and twist throughout an 8 to 10 hours shift.


• Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment (if it's hot out, it's hot inside...)

Pay, Shift, & Location

• Pay: ranges from $24.50/hr to $27.00/hr depending on prior experience


• Shift: 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday - Friday, with mandatory overtime as needed.
