Job summary

Massachusetts Eye and Ear is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a range of medical and facility equipment in our Boston campus.

The role requires a High School Diploma, 2-3 years of heavy equipment experience, and the ability to work independently or with others in a fast-paced environment. Evening shift with onsite work.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2–3 years experience in heavy equipment maintenance or related field.
  • Must be mechanically inclined with good problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with others in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines.
  • Thoroughly clean machines and machine parts, removing and reinstalling as necessary.
  • Oil and lubricate moving parts to ensure optimal performance.
  • Record and report damaged, worn, or broken parts.
  • Identify causes of unexpected machine breakdowns and address them promptly.
  • Repair broken machines quickly and efficiently.
