Job summary

Aerotek is hiring experienced Maintenance Mechanics for 1st and 2nd shifts in Hugo, MN. You will support production by keeping equipment operating safely and with minimal downtime in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and working with PLC-controlled equipment. Overtime is consistently available and the role is contract-to-hire with onsite work.

Qualifications

• Experience as a maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints and technical manuals.
• Experience with PLC-controlled and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Proactive with preventive and predictive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Diagnose and resolve issues on PLC-controlled and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Repair and maintain equipment such as conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, compressors, and production machinery.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues.
• Support machine installations, equipment upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Complete maintenance work orders, repair logs, and preventative maintenance documentation.
• Work closely with production teams to maximize equipment uptime and efficiency.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
