Job summary

PepsiCo Inc. in Charlotte, NC is seeking a maintenance technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment. The role involves 12-hour rotating nights, with shifts 6:00 pm to 6:30 am, and requires lifting heavy loads and working in extreme conditions.

You will diagnose electrical and hydraulic systems, perform preventative maintenance, and respond to breakdowns to keep production running safely and reliably. This is a full-time opportunity with on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be willing to work weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift 15 to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods.
• Willing and able to work in an environment with extreme temperatures, humidity, hazardous/loud equipment, and slippery surfaces.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment to keep production running safely and reliably.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and install pneumatic and hydraulic systems, control valves, and pumps.
• Diagnose and repair AC/DC electrical systems using schematics and electrical testing equipment.
• Use preventative maintenance systems and work order tracking to support equipment reliability.
• Respond to maintenance calls, inspect machines, identify needed repairs, and take corrective action.
• Apply multi-craft maintenance skills to help maximize equipment efficiency, effectiveness, and safety.
