Job summary

PepsiCo is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to join our South Chesterfield, VA facility. The role involves 12-hour rotating shifts (7:00pm–7:00am) and extensive preventive and corrective maintenance on high-speed production equipment.

Qualified candidates will have 3+ years in industrial maintenance, able to lift 50 lbs, and experience with SAP and CMMS. On-the-job training, a safety-focused culture, and opportunities for career growth are provided.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance.
• Experience troubleshooting automated equipment (sensors, valves, pumps, discrete I/O, PLCs, VFDs, 480V 3-phase).
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Familiar with GMP, safety policies and CMMS workflows.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, scheduled, and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
• Install, troubleshoot, and improve processing, filling, packaging, and facility equipment in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and process systems using SOPs and schematics.
• Disassemble, repair, rebuild, and replace components such as gearboxes, bearings, seals, and motors using precision tools.
• Support safety, quality, and housekeeping policies while keeping the work area clean and production-ready.
• Use SAP to document maintenance, issue parts, and communicate equipment issues with operators, engineers, and supervisors.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by reviewing maintenance history and root-cause solutions.
