UFP Windsor, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic I to perform basic preventative maintenance and electrical repair on machinery, equipment, tools and buildings. You will assist other members of the Maintenance Department in various machine/building repairs and ensure safe, clean work areas.

The role requires reading electrical diagrams, using a voltage meter, and performing electrical diagnostics on 24v/110v control circuits and 480v line voltage.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in machine repair in maintenance.
• Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and control technology, and welding.
• 2+ years experience in electrical work and maintenance.
• Ability to use a voltage meter to test electrical equipment, motors, switches, and sensors.
• Working knowledge of safe equipment practices and applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of hazardous waste and hazardous material handling procedures and practices.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsabilidades

• Order supplies and parts as required.
• Maintain records of repair and maintenance activities.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area and participate in safety programs.
• If in Treating Department, follow hazardous waste handling procedures.
• Prepare various reports and perform other duties as required.

Job Summary

The Maintenance Mechanic I is responsible for performing basic preventative maintenance and electrical repair on machinery, equipment, tools and buildings and assists other members of the Maintenance Department in various machine/building repairs.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs regular, preventative maintenance on all machinery, equipment, tools, and building
• Assists in the repair of woodworking machinery, infeed/outfeed systems, hand tools, and forklifts in accordance with diagrams, operating manuals, and manufacturer specifications
• Assist with electrical repairs and set-up in various settings. Electrical Diagnosis/Troubleshooting (specifically 24v and 110v control voltage circuits and 480v line voltage) Ability to use a voltage meter to test electrical equipment, motors, relays, contactors, switches, sensors ect
• Ability to read electrical prints for machines and know where to look for problems
• Orders supplies and parts as required
• Performs preventive maintenance as scheduled
• Maintains records of repair and maintenance activities
• Performs duties consistent with established safety rules and procedures
• Maintains a clean and organized work area
• Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings
• If assigned to Treating Department, performs duties consistent with hazardous waste and hazardous material handling procedures and practices
• Prepares various reports as required
• Performs other duties as required

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age

Compensation & Benefit Information:

Hourly Pay Range: $22-$30 per hour dependent on maintenance and electrical experience* *pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living

Bonus/Incentive Pay: Incentive pay may be available for certain job roles and may include piece rate incentives, weekly production bonuses, trip rates, and employee referral bonuses. A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.
