Job summary

Complete Building Services is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to support a Class A building in NW, Washington, DC. The role runs Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, and requires hands-on expertise in building systems.

You will perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs across HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, while coordinating with subcontractors and the building manager to ensure client satisfaction. Parking is provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of experience operating and maintaining commercial buildings in the last 5 years.
• Experience in building operations and troubleshooting is essential.
• EPA Universal 608 (CFC) license required.
• Able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily, weekly and monthly inspections of building systems.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on scheduled basis.
• Maintain equipment to industry standards.
• Diagnose and repair HVAC, plumbing and electrical issues.
• Coordinate with subcontractors for installation/repair work.
• Document work on tickets and work orders.

Responsibilities

Complete Building Services is hiring an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to for a Class A building in NW, Washington, DC. The hours for this position are Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Major Duties

• Perform daily, weekly and monthly inspections of systems and associated equipment
• Perform preventative and general maintenance on a scheduled basis
• Maintain equipment to industry standards
• Diagnose and repair HVAC, plumbing and electrical problems as required and/or as assigned by supervisor
• Provide assistance and support to sub-contractors designated to perform installation and/or repair of equipment and/or hardware as required
• Interface with building manager and other customer representatives in order to ensure client satisfaction
• Complete daily, weekly and/or monthly reports of system status as directed by supervisor
• Accurately document work performed on tickets and/or work orders
• Perform other duties as assigned

Salary $25-$27 per hour

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

• Must have a minimum of 2+ years of experience operating and maintaining commercial buildings in the last 5 years
• Experience in building operations, troubleshooting is essential
• Computer skills a must
• Be familiar with steam operations
• Must be flexible/on duty rotation for after-hour calls
• Able to perform PM maintenance on all mechanical equipment
• Requires reliable transportation
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Hands on equipment experience including, but not limited to: changing filters, grease bearings, repairing flush valves, stop valves, change ballast/light bulbs
• Excellent customer service skills
• EPA Universal 608 (CFC) license
• Must be able to pass a background check
