Schedule: Varies weekly based on planned vacations at the Vernon Plant. During training, schedules will rotate across all shifts to learn necessary functions.

Compensation: For candidates in New York State, starting at $29.56/hour plus a $0.50 shift differential for hours between 6 pm and 6 am.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely start-up of equipment.
• Expedite all categories 3 & 4 (Food Quality/Food & Employee Safety) Work Orders and maintain High Risk Work Permits per SQF standards.
• Adhere to all GMP, sanitation policies, OSHA regulations, and plant safety policies.
• Possess working knowledge of WWTP operations and complete required environmental paperwork.
• Assist in designing, improving, and installing equipment and systems to enhance quality, safety, and production.
• Repair equipment breakdowns, perform preventative maintenance, and handle general repairs.
• Perform general maintenance including building repairs, plumbing, electrical work, and boiler maintenance.
• Operate and maintain the anhydrous ammonia system.
• Provide your own small hand tools.
• Pass annual pulmonary function/respiratory tests.
• Attend scheduled meetings and mandatory training.
• Conduct chemical testing for Central Sanitizer, House Water, and Cheese Water each shift.
• Support SQF initiatives by maintaining food safety and quality standards.
• Maintain documentation as per SQF requirements.
• Work overtime as needed and perform additional duties as assigned.
• Follow all safety procedures, wear PPE, and ensure safety of self and others.
