Job summary

Reworld seeks a Maintenance Mechanic to perform planned, unplanned, and preventative maintenance ensuring safe and efficient operation of equipment in the industrial disposal process.

Responsibilities include preventive tasks per schedule, root-cause analysis with teams, prioritizing work to minimize downtime, using the plant's maintenance documentation system, and maintaining equipment to meet safety standards while documenting all activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2–4 years' experience in heavy industrial/manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Effectively complete preventive maintenance tasks per schedule to prevent breakdowns and downtime.
• Use root-cause analysis to investigate breakdowns and line stoppages with teams.
• Prioritize work to minimize production downtime and complete required documentation in CMMS.
• Open/close work orders, check out spare parts, and perform related maintenance activities in the plant's documentation program.
• Repair/maintain machinery including inspection, assembly, disassembly, and replacement as needed.
• Observe equipment operation to diagnose malfunctions using mechanical methods.
• Review maintenance reports to plan and adjust maintenance activities.
• Inspect machines for compliance with safety and operating standards.

About the role

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for the planned, unplanned, and preventative maintenance tasks required to ensure safe and efficient operational effectiveness of equipment and systems which enable Reworld's industrial disposal process.

Position Responsibilities

• Effectively complete preventive maintenance tasks per maintenance schedule to prevent breakdowns of equipment and operational downtime
• Utilize root-cause analysis skills to investigate breakdown and line stoppages collaborating with various teams and stakeholders
• Prioritize work to ensure timely maintenance, repair and installation of equipment, tools, and utility systems to minimize production downtime and complete all required paperwork and documentation in the company's computerized maintenance documentation program
• Utilize Reworld's defined maintenance documentation program to open and close out work orders, check out spare parts, and other activities as required in the plant
• Repair and/or maintain the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery or equipment including inspection, assembly, disassembly, and replacement as necessary
• Observe and evaluate the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions utilizing mechanical devices
• Review maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities
• Inspect operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational and safety performance standards

Position Requirements & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred
• A minimum of 2-4 years' experience in a heavy industrial/manufacturing environment

The range below reflects Reworld's reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future. The pay range for the primary location of this position is: 33.22 - 44.18 USD per hour.
