Job summary

Parallel Employment Group is partnering with a medical manufacturer in the Buffalo, NY area to hire a qualified maintenance mechanic. You will perform day-to-day maintenance of equipment, handle emergency repairs, and use your mechanical skills for small electrical work and quick line restarts.

Shift: 1st shift. Pay rate: $20 to $30 per hour. The role involves following ISO procedures, preventative maintenance, and root-cause analyses to reduce downtime. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and simple instructions.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and present information clearly.
• Strong math skills for measurements and tolerances.
• Experience with machining operations and fabricating parts.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and systems.
• Repair and restart parts of the production line quickly.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime.
• Dismantle equipment to access defective components and replace parts.
• Observe machinery to identify causes of malfunction and document changes.
• Assist engineers and operators on projects and major repairs as needed.

Parallel Employment Group is excited to partner with a medical manufacturer in the Buffalo, NY area in looking for qualified maintenance mechanic to join the team. In this role, you will be working on day to day maintenance of equipment as well as emergency repairs when equipment goes down. You will have the opportunity to utilize many of your mechanical skills, from small electrical repairs, ability to repair and restart parts of the production line quickly and replace parts.

Pay Rate: $20 to $30 an hour

Responsibilities

• Where ISO procedures areinaccurate,workwith supervision and engineering tofacilitatedocument changes
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on all manufacturing equipmentand mechanical systems
• Observe machinery in operation toidentifycauses of malfunction
• Dismantle equipment to access and remove defective components
• Adjust mechanicaldevices and control instruments
• Install structural and functional parts on machinery
• Operate and test equipment to verifyperformance
• Troubleshoot mechanical,electricaland pneumaticsystems to minimize downtime
• Perform root-cause analysis and recommend corrective actions
• Assistother maintenance mechanics, engineers and operatorson projects and major repairs as needed
