Job summary

AHF is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join their team in Smoot, West Virginia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining sawmill equipment, performing electrical repairs, and ensuring all equipment operates safely.

This position requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 3 years of maintenance experience. Ideal candidates will be reliable, enjoy hands-on work, and possess a positive work history.

AHF Products has a job opportunity for a Maintenance Mechanic to be located in Smoot, WV. Reporting to the Mill Supervisor, the Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing maintenance and PM’s on sawmill equipment.

JOB DUTIES:

• Checking all equipment for proper safety attachments and guards.
• Maintenance and PM’s for all sawmill equipment.
• Cutting, welding and fabrication.
• Repair and installation of equipment.
• Minor electrical repairs on industrial equipment.
• Facility and grounds maintenance.
• Serve as a backup for operators of various machines.
• Perform any other work-related task deemed necessary by the mill management.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Highschool Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of relevant maintenance experience in a similar work environment.
• Ability to work occasional overtime.
• Prefer working with your hands.
• Prefer to be on your feet all day.
• You are punctual and reliable.
• Must be able to successfully complete and pass a background check, employment verification and drug screening.
• Positive and Verifiable Work History.
