Job summary

AHF Products is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for Smoot, WV, reporting to the Mill Supervisor to perform maintenance and PMs on sawmill equipment. This role supports 2nd shift (2:30pm-11:00pm) and may require 1st shift coverage as needed.

Responsibilities include safety checks, welding, fabrication, equipment repair, and general facility maintenance. AHF emphasizes equal opportunity employment and safe, reliable work history.

Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of relevant maintenance experience in a similar work environment.
• Ability to work occasional overtime.
• Prefer working with your hands.
• Prefer to be on your feet all day.
• Must be able to pass background check, employment verification and drug screening.
• Positive and verifiable work history.

Responsibilities

• Check equipment for proper safety attachments and guards.
• Perform maintenance and PM’s on all sawmill equipment.
• Cutting, welding and fabrication.
• Repair and installation of equipment.
• Minor electrical repairs on industrial equipment.
• Facility and grounds maintenance.
• Backup for operators of various machines.
• Perform other work-related tasks as directed by mill management.
