Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking a maintenance technician for our DC operations. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing conveyors, PLC-controlled equipment, hydraulics, and pneumatics while adhering to PM standards and safety protocols.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of experience, relevant technical education, and the ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings. This full-time on-site position offers comprehensive benefits and a shift-based schedule.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent technical certification is required.
• 2+ year vocational training in mechanical or electrical applications preferred.
• 3-5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in facilities or industrial equipment.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes and PLC controls.
• Familiar with DC-specific software and drawings/schematics.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to follow LOTO procedures.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to OSHA safety requirements and LOTO procedures.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility assets including conveyors and PLC-controlled equipment.
• Document PM activities and monitor spare parts usage in asset management system.
• Train junior technicians and support vendor projects safely and timely.
• Collaborate with external vendors to complete DC projects and tasks.

OVERVIEW

Shift: 2B: Tuesday - Friday 5:30p - 3:30a

Rate: $29.55/hr. + $1/hr. shift diff

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Adhere to all safety requirements including OSHA standards with regards to LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all equipment related to the facility and conveyance systems within the facility. Follow PM standards and document work performed for accurate record keeping in our asset management system. Areas of expertise must include PLC’s, conveyors, 3 phase electric, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and any other related equipment.
• Accurately report spare parts inventory levels and daily parts usage to Maintenance leadership to help ensure spare parts inventory is maintained.
• Assist in teammate development by training junior technicians in order to elevate their performance level while troubleshooting and repairing any related assets.
• Work closely with outside vendors in order to complete projects within the DCs in a safe and timely manner.
• Take on other duties as needed to support the DC and its operational needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate’s Degree -
• 2 year vocational technical certificate or degree preferably in a mechanical or electrical application
• 3-5 years of experience
• Welding, burning, cutting
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes & PLC controls
• Familiar with DC-specific specialized software packages (ex. Crown PM, Gage) & equipment
• Able to read & understand electrical mechanical building type drawings/schematics
• Good safety awareness
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull & lift up to 75 lbs.
• Experience with LOTO

PAY RANGE

Targeted Pay Range: $29.55 - $42.90. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, experience and position offered. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
