Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods in Lisle, IL is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service and repair facility equipment, conveyors, and control systems. Shift 2B runs Tuesday to Friday, 5:30p–3:30a, with a $29.55/hr base and $1/hr shift differential.

Responsibilities include safety compliance, parts inventory, and mentoring junior technicians. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in maintenance, read electrical/mechanical drawings, and experience with PLCs, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or 2-year technical certificate in mechanical or electrical field
• 3–5 years of experience in maintenance or a related role
• Welding, burning, cutting experience
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes and PLC controls
• Familiar with DC-specific software/packages and equipment
• Able to read electrical/mechanical drawings/schematics
• Good safety awareness and LOTO familiarity
• Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs
• Experience with LOTO procedures

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety requirements including OSHA standards and LOTO
• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair facility equipment and conveyance systems
• Document work performed in asset management system
• Report spare parts usage and inventory levels
• Train junior technicians to elevate performance
• Coordinate with outside vendors to complete projects
• Support DC operations and other duties as needed

OVERVIEW

Shift: 2B: Tuesday - Friday 5:30p - 3:30a

Rate: $29.55/hr. + $1/hr. shift dif

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety requirements including OSHA standards with regards to LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all equipment related to the facility and conveyance systems within the facility. Follow PM standards and document work performed for accurate record keeping in our asset management system. Areas of expertise must include PLC’s, conveyors, 3 phase electric, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and any other related equipment.
• Accurately report spare parts inventory levels and daily parts usage to Maintenance leadership to help ensure spare parts inventory is maintained.
• Assist in teammate development by training junior technicians in order to elevate their performance level while troubleshooting and repairing any related assets.
• Work closely with outside vendors in order to complete projects within the DCs in a safe and timely manor.
• Take on other duties as needed to support the DC and it’s operational needs

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate‘s Degree - 2 year vocational technical certificate or degree preferably in a mechanical or electrical application
• 3-5 years of experience
• Welding, burning, cutting
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes & PLC controls
• Familiar with DC-specific specialized software packages (ex. Crown PM, Gage) & equipment
• Able to read & understand electrical mechanical building type drawings/schematics
• Good safety awareness
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull & lift up to 75 lbs.
• Experience with LOTO

Targeted Pay Range

Targeted Pay Range: $29.55 - $42.90. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, experience and position offered. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job ‘S Sporting Goods complies with all state paid leave requirements.
