Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for our distribution center. The role requires hands-on maintenance of conveyors, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems within a fast-paced facility.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of maintenance experience, a mechanical or electrical degree, and a strong safety mindset including LOTO practices. Applicants should be able to read schematics and work with external vendors when needed.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or technical certificate in mechanical or electrical field.
• 3-5 years of relevant maintenance experience in a DC or industrial setting.
• Familiar with DC-specific software packages and equipment.
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings and schematics; understand controls.
• Experience with LOTO and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to OSHA safety requirements and LOTO procedures.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment, conveyors, and related systems.
• Document spare parts usage and PM activities in asset management system.
• Train junior technicians and support vendor projects safely.
• Collaborate with outside vendors to complete DC projects on schedule.
• Perform additional duties to support DC operations.

OVERVIEW

Shift: 2B: Tuesday - Friday 5:30p - 3:30a

Rate: $29.55/hr. + $1/hr. shift dif

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety requirements including OSHA standards with regards to LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all equipment related to the facility and conveyance systems within the facility. Follow PM standards and document work performed for accurate record keeping in our asset management system. Areas of expertise must include PLC’s, conveyors, 3 phase electric, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and any other related equipment.
• Accurately report spare parts inventory levels and daily parts usage to Maintenance leadership to help ensure spare parts inventory is maintained.
• Assist in teammate development by training junior technicians in order to elevate their performance level while troubleshooting and repairing any related assets.
• Work closely with outside vendors in order to complete projects within the DCs in a safe and timely manor.
• Take on other duties as needed to support the DC and it’s operational needs

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate‘s Degree - 2 year vocational technical certificate or degree preferably in a mechanical or electrical application
• 3-5 years of experience
• Welding, burning, cutting
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes & PLC controls
• Familiar with DC-specific specialized software packages (ex. Crown PM, Gage) & equipment
• Able to read & understand electrical mechanical building type drawings/schematics
• Good safety awareness
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull & lift up to 75 lbs.
• Experience with LOTO

Targeted Pay Range

Targeted Pay Range: $29.55 - $42.90. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, experience and position offered. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job ‘S Sporting Goods complies with all state paid leave requirements.
