Job summary

Georg-Fischer is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for our Shawnee, OK plant. The role focuses on preventive and reactive maintenance to maximize production rates.

You will manage PM schedules, repair equipment, and maintain spare parts inventory while adhering to safety and 6S standards. The position requires 3-5 years of experience in hydraulics, electrical, electronics, and mechanical maintenance, with a preference for candidates holding a high school diploma or vocational training.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience in hydraulics, electrical, electronics and mechanical maintenance.
• Experience maintaining plant equipment to support maximum production rates.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on plant equipment.
• Maintain PM schedules and timely completion of all tasks.
• Repair equipment to sustain production rates and minimize downtime.
• Maintain adequate spare parts inventory and coordinate with support services.
• Follow safety rules, 6S, and housekeeping standards.
• On-call duties for repairs as required.

Summary:The Maintenance Mechanic oversees and performs the preventive and reactive maintenance duties required for the manufacturing operations of the plant. Priorities include management and execution of PM schedules, repair of any equipment that is needed to maintain maximum production rates and maintenance of an adequate spare parts inventory.
