Maintenance Mechanic Key Responsibilities :
- Perform preventative maintenance on packaging equipment, including conveyors, fillers, labelers, and other production machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime.
- Monitor equipment performance and conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues before they impact production.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely equipment repairs and minimize production disruptions.
- Assist in the installation of new machinery and equipment as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and parts used.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures, including lock-out / tag-out protocols.
- Participate in routine safety meetings and training sessions.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls during production shifts.
- Assist in the development of maintenance schedules and identify areas for continuous improvement.
- Work closely with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely availability of replacement parts and tools.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in industrial maintenance, mechanical, or electrical engineering preferred.
- Proven experience 3 years working as a maintenance technician or in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or packaging environment.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures in an industrial environment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
