Job summary

Aerotek is seeking experienced Maintenance Mechanics to support production by keeping equipment operating safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime. You'll perform preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and repair PLC-controlled equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining production equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read schematics and diagnose faults quickly.
• Comfort working with PLC-controlled machinery and various hydraulics/pneumatics.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Diagnose and resolve issues on PLC-controlled and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Repair and maintain conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, compressors, and production machinery.
• Read electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns and perform root cause analysis.
• Support machine installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Complete maintenance work orders and logs and update PM docs.
• Collaborate with production teams to maximize uptime and efficiency.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe workplace.

We are seeking experienced Maintenance Mechanics to support production by keeping equipment operating safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on troubleshooting, equipment repair, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You'll play a critical role in maintaining production machinery, improving equipment reliability, and supporting continuous operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment to minimize downtime.

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

• Diagnose and resolve issues on PLC-controlled and automated manufacturing equipment.

• Repair and maintain equipment such as conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, compressors, and production machinery.

• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.

• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues.

• Support machine installations, equipment upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Complete maintenance work orders, repair logs, and preventative maintenance documentation.

• Work closely with production teams to maximize equipment uptime and efficiency.

• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St Paul, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $37.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
