Aerotek is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician in McCook, IL to troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on a wide range of manufacturing equipment. You will work on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled systems in a safety-focused environment.

As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you'll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of manufacturing equipment to support safe and efficient plant operations.
Troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery, production equipment, and facility systems.
Perform preventative maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues.
Maintain and repair pumps, compressors, motors, conveyors, boilers, reactors, kettles, gearboxes, cooling towers, vessels, and piping systems.
Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and electrical systems.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Repair or replace defective components using hand and power tools.
Support facility and building maintenance projects as needed.
Coordinate parts ordering and inventory to ensure maintenance readiness.
Document maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history.
Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout protocols.
Assist with field maintenance and outdoor equipment repairs when necessary.
Utilize welding and fabrication skills to support repair projects.
Industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing, processing, or production environment.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Experience working with motors, pumps, compressors, conveyors, boilers, piping systems, and production machinery.
Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
PLC troubleshooting and electrical diagnostic experience.
Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics.
Understanding of preventative maintenance programs.
Strong commitment to workplace safety and lockout/tagout procedures.
Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.
TIG, Stick, or MIG welding experience.
Experience in chemical, process, manufacturing, refinery, food processing, or industrial production facilities.
Familiarity with gearboxes, cooling towers, reactors, and pressure vessels.
Field service or heavy industrial maintenance experience.
Experience maintaining older industrial equipment and machinery.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
