Aerotek in Bayonne, NJ is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for a permanent, on-site role with 1st shift hours (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday-Friday). The position focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment while leading maintenance activities across the facility.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, performing preventative maintenance, reading schematics, and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial manufacturing equipment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and diagnose electrical issues.
• Experience troubleshooting PLCs and reading ladder logic.
• Millwright experience including welding and machining.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools.
• Able to work from ladders and aerial lifts such as scissor lifts.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.

Maintenance Technician

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support a fast-paced manufacturing operation. This is a hands-on role focused on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment while helping lead maintenance activities across the facility. If you have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and enjoy solving equipment issues, this is a great opportunity with consistent overtime and an excellent benefits package.

Job Type & Location

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
