Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is hiring for a maintenance technician at our distribution center in Mississippi. The role involves keeping facility equipment and conveyance systems running, troubleshooting PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems, and ensuring safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree (or equivalent)
• 2 year vocational technical certificate or degree preferably in mechanical or electrical application
• 3-5 years of related experience
• Welding, burning and cutting
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes and PLC controls
• Familiar with DC-specific software and equipment
• Able to read electrical/mechanical drawings or schematics
• Good safety awareness
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up to 75 lbs
• Experience with LOTO

Responsibilities

• Adhere to OSHA safety requirements and LOTO procedures.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment related to the facility and conveyance systems.
• Report spare parts usage to Maintenance leadership and manage inventory.
• Train junior technicians to elevate performance.
• Collaborate with outside vendors to complete projects safely and on time.
• Take on other duties to support DC operations.

OVERVIEW

Shift: 2B: Tuesday - Friday 5:30p - 3:30a

Rate: $29.55/hr. + $1/hr. shift dif

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety requirements including OSHA standards with regards to LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all equipment related to the facility and conveyance systems within the facility. Follow PM standards and document work performed for accurate record keeping in our asset management system. Areas of expertise must include PLC’s, conveyors, 3 phase electric, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and any other related equipment.
• Accurately report spare parts inventory levels and daily parts usage to Maintenance leadership to help ensure spare parts inventory is maintained.
• Assist in teammate development by training junior technicians in order to elevate their performance level while troubleshooting and repairing any related assets.
• Work closely with outside vendors in order to complete projects within the DCs in a safe and timely manor.
• Take on other duties as needed to support the DC and it’s operational needs

• Experience with LOTO

Targeted Pay Range: $29.55 - $42.90. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, experience and position offered.
