Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is hiring for a Maintenance Technician in Pueblo, CO. Onsite role assessing and repairing facility and process equipment, including MAU and generators, with a rotating 4-on/4-off schedule.

Qualifications include a HS diploma or GED and at least 1 year in maintenance or mechanical work. The role emphasizes safety, problem-solving, and accurate CMMS record-keeping.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma. In the absence of a HS diploma a GED is required.
  • 1 year of experience in a maintenance or other mechanical focused role.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative/corrective maintenance on facility and process equipment, including MAU, gas generators, separators, cooling towers, pumps, air compressors.
  • Analyze and repair malfunctioning equipment or systems (mechanical, pneumatic, electro-mechanical).
  • Adhere to all engineering instructions, SOPs and departmental procedures.
  • Observe and follow environmental, health and safety procedures.
  • Represent Collins Aerospace’s vision and support the management team.
  • Ensure policies and procedures are followed and implemented.
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with Distributive Control Systems.
  • Maintain CMMS records accurately.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Perform water treatment analysis and take corrective action.
  • Keep work area clean and organized.
  • Operate facility maintenance tools and equipment.

Rotating Shift Structure
  • 4-on/4-off rotation equates to 6-months off every year!
  • Rotating day/night shift every 2 months
  • 12-hour shifts: 6:00AM - 6:00PM / 6:00PM – 6:00AM
What You Will Do
  • Perform preventative/corrective maintenance on all facility and process related equipment to include make-up air units (MAU), natural gas fired generators, oil/water separators, cooling water towers, vacuum pumps, air compressors, variable frequency drives, boilers, steam systems, and associated equipment
  • Analyze and repair all malfunctioning equipment or systems i.e., Mechanical, Pneumatic and Electro-mechanical
  • Adhere to all engineering instruction, standard operation procedures, and all departmental procedures
  • Observe and follow environmental, health and safety procedures.
  • Positively represent Collins Aerospace’s company vision and support the management team
  • Know, understand and ensure that company policies and procedures are followed and consistently implemented
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Familiarity with Distributive Control Systems
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Follow written and verbal instructions
  • Perform water treatment analysis and take corrective action
  • Ensure a clean and organized work area is maintained

Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The hourly rate for this role is $22.00/hour USD. The hourly rate provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
