Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic II in Spokane to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on facility and process equipment, including MAU systems and generators. You will follow SOPs, maintain records, and uphold safety standards.

The role offers a 4-on/4-off 12-hour shift, with built-in overtime and a $2.75/hr shift differential. HS diploma or GED and 2+ years in maintenance are required.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma. GED acceptable if no diploma.
  • 2+ years of experience in a maintenance or mechanical role.
  • Background in electrical systems troubleshooting is a plus.
  • Manufacturing/industrial maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on facility and process equipment including MAU, generators, separators, towers, pumps, compressors, boilers, and steam systems.
  • Follow engineering instructions, SOPs, and departmental procedures.
  • Adhere to environmental, health and safety rules and maintain accurate maintenance records.

Maintenance Mechanic II role is an intermediate facility maintenance position whose core job duties.


What You Will Do


  • Perform preventative/corrective maintenance on all facility and process related equipment to include make-up air units (MAU), natural gas fired generators, oil/water separators, cooling water towers, vacuum pumps, air compressors, variable frequency drives, boilers, steam systems, and associated equipment

  • Adhere to all engineering instruction, standard operation procedures, and all departmental procedures

  • Observe and follow environmental, health and safety procedures

  • Positively represent Collins Aerospace’s company vision and support the management team

  • Know, understand, and ensure that company policies and procedures are followed and consistently implemented

  • Analyze and repair all malfunctioning equipment or systems i.e., Mechanical, Pneumatic and Electro-mechanical

  • Basic electrical troubleshooting skills

  • Familiarity with Distributive Control Systems

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records

  • Follow written and verbal instructions

  • Operate the following equipment and tools:

  • Forklift

  • 3-ton and 5-ton Cranes

  • Kubota UTV

  • Various hand tools

  • Various power tools

  • Digital Multimeter

  • Alignment Tools

  • Perform water treatment analysis and take corrective action

  • Ensure a clean and organized work area is maintained


Rotating Shift Structure


  • 4-on/4-off Schedule

  • 12-hour shifts: 7:00AM – 7:00PM


Compensation


  • Built-in, guaranteed overtime

  • “Free” hours on non-overtime weeks

  • Compensation: $28-$32/hr

  • A Shift Differential of $2.75/hr

Qualifications You Must Have


  • HS Diploma. In the absence of a HS diploma a GED is required.

  • 2 or more years of experience in a maintenance or other mechanical focused role


Qualifications We Prefer


  • Background in electrical systems troubleshooting and repair

  • 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment
  • Must possess and practice good people skills

  • Must have the ability to solve problems and exercise creativity to develop and/or

  • Implement practical solutions

  • Must have the ability to evaluate work and exercise judgment

  • Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office
