Copper State Bolt & Nut Company is seeking an Industrial Mechanic to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy manufacturing equipment in a hands-on role. You will work with punch presses, stamping, conveyors, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems in a high-production environment.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience, reads schematics, and can lift 50+ lbs. Strong problem-solving and teamwork are essential to keep production moving.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as an Industrial Mechanic or similar role.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience with heavy manufacturing equipment (punch presses, stamping, conveyors).
• Able to read mechanical drawings and manuals; lift 50+ lbs.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy production machinery.
• Diagnose motors, gearboxes, bearings, belts, and drive systems up to 10 HP.
• Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems; perform PMs to reduce downtime.
• Assist with machine setups, installations, and upgrades.
• Maintain equipment records and collaborate with operators to improve reliability.

Copper State Bolt & Nut Company is looking for an experienced Industrial Mechanic who knows how to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy manufacturing equipment.

If you're a hands-on problem solver who enjoys figuring out why equipment isn't running correctly—and fixing it right—this is an opportunity to put your mechanical skills to work in a high-production manufacturing environment.

You’ll work with heavy punch presses, stamping and forming equipment, conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, motors, gearboxes, and mechanical drive systems.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy punch presses, stamping machines, forming equipment, conveyors, and production machinery
• Diagnose and repair motors up to 10 HP, gearboxes, bearings, couplings, shafts, belts, pulleys, and drive systems
• Maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including pumps, valves, cylinders, and air compressors
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) to reduce equipment downtime and extend equipment life
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and quickly identify and correct mechanical problems
• Perform precision alignment of motors, shafts, and mechanical assemblies
• Assist with machine setups, changeovers, adjustments, and equipment installations
• Identify the root cause of recurring equipment problems and recommend long-term solutions
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment logs, and PM documentation
• Work closely with operators and supervisors to identify equipment issues and improve machine reliability
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment, including rigging, anchoring, leveling, and setup
• Recommend equipment upgrades and process improvements that improve safety, reliability, and production efficiency
• Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and OSHA requirements

WHAT YOU BRING

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as an Industrial Mechanic, Maintenance Technician, Machinery Repair Technician, or similar role
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Experience working with punch presses, stamping equipment, forming machinery, or other heavy industrial equipment
• Experience with motors up to 10 HP, gearboxes, bearings, belts, pulleys, couplings, shafts, and mechanical power transmission
• Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, schematics, equipment manuals, and maintenance instructions
• Ability to safely lift 50+ lbs. and perform hands-on work in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with fastener manufacturing, metal forming, metal stamping, or high-cycle production equipment
• Basic electrical troubleshooting, including sensors, limit switches, and low-voltage components
• Welding, fabrication, or machining experience
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
• Experience using a CMMS or computerized maintenance management system
