Job summary

Synerfac Inc in Mountainside, NJ is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to support the maintenance and repair of industrial production equipment. You will troubleshoot equipment, minimize downtime, and assist with daily manufacturing operations.

The role requires hands-on mechanical troubleshooting, electrical troubleshooting, ability to lift at least 50 lbs, and comfort working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Maintenance Mechanic

Mountainside, NJ - $30-35 per hour

A well-established metal-forming manufacturer is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to support the maintenance and repair of industrial production equipment. This is an opportunity for an experienced industrial maintenance professional to troubleshoot equipment, minimize production downtime, and support daily manufacturing operations.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial manufacturing equipment, including metal-forming presses, motors, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and replace or repair defective mechanical components to maintain reliable equipment operation.
• Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns, prioritize repairs, and assist with general facility maintenance and equipment installations.
• Maintain maintenance records and follow established safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO).

Job Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

• Previous industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Hands-on mechanical troubleshooting experience with industrial equipment.
• Intermediate electrical troubleshooting experience, including high-voltage systems.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools, lift at least 50 lbs., and work at heights.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience working with stainless steel in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and metal-forming equipment.

Compensation & Schedule

• $30-$35 per hour.
• Monday-Friday, day shift.
• Approximately 45-50 hours per week.
• Overtime and occasional Saturdays as needed.
• Location: Mountainside, NJ.
