Job Description

U.S. Pipe and Foundry is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic in Lynchburg, VA. The successful candidate will perform complex mechanical repairs, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Essential Functions

• Perform inspection and preventive maintenance.
• Overhaul equipment and check after repairs.
• Install equipment in the plant.
• Use oxy-acetylene and welding equipment for repairs.
• Perform lubrication work and maintain good housekeeping.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Other Requirements

• Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting service manuals.
• Developing mechanical knowledge and safety consciousness.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as an industrial mechanic.
• Ability to work at heights, in hot and cold environments, and lift objects over 50 pounds.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, and perform manual tasks.
• Ability to work independently with initiative.
