Job summary

The Pittsburgh Paints Company is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for the Huron, OH area. You will maintain, repair, and improve manufacturing equipment and plant utility systems across all departments, with a focus on safety and reliability.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, troubleshooting PLCs (Allen Bradley preferred), reading blueprints, and basic welding. 3rd shift, starting pay $30.80–$43.00 hourly, plus a $1,000 sign-on bonus; 18+ with HS diploma required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of mechanical maintenance or skilled trades experience.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Strong mechanical and electrical background is essential.
• PLC troubleshooting experience (Allen Bradley preferred).
• Experience with reading technical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on belts, piping, filters, mixers, conveyors, valves, bearings and seals.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment to resolve issues and prevent downtime.
• Maintain and repair pumps, motors, drives, conveyors, pneumatics and production equipment.
• Install and service control devices, sensors and motor control systems.
• Troubleshoot PLCs (Allen Bradley preferred) and 480V 3-phase electrical systems.
• Read and work from blueprints, schematics and technical documents.
• Perform basic welding and fabrication as needed.
