Job summary

Ellwood Crankshaft Group in Hermitage, PA, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic II for our Hermitage facility. This hourly position reports to the Maintenance Director and requires overtime, weekends, rotating shifts and on-call responsibilities.

The ideal candidate has two years related experience, strong mechanical and electrical abilities, and the ability to read/interpret blueprints and schematics. PLC experience and manufacturing knowledge are valued, with a focus on LEAN principles and

• Strong mechanical and electrical abilities, manufacturing experience and understanding of safety and environmental practices.

• Two-year technical degree in Mechanical or Electrical Technology.
• Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Basic knowledge in AC and DC motor drive controls.
• Experience with PLC controls.
• Familiar with manufacturing processes and machining equipment.
• Machine tool experience including major upgrades, revisions and installations both mechanically and with control systems.
• Experience with PLC Controls (Siemens SIMOTION, Siemens Step 7, Allen Bradley Studio 5000).
• Experience with gas combustion systems, set up, tuning and periodic certification.

Responsibilities

• Testing, diagnosing, repairing and maintaining machine tools including CNC controls, PLC hardware and software, control circuits, electro/mechanical systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Performing adjustments, alignments and calibrations on equipment
• Installing and upgrading new and current equipment to adhere to LEAN Principles
• Ensuring preventative maintenance schedules are performed on a regular basis
• Assisting with other duties, assignments and projects as required

Ellwood Crankshaft Group is the world's leading manufacturer of large, one-of-a-kind, multiple-throw crankshafts. Today, ECG hasfour facilities inPennsylvania. We are seeking a full-time person for a Maintenance Mechanic II position for our facility in Hermitage, PA. This is an hourly position and will report directly to theMaintenance Director. This position will require overtime, weekends, rotating shifts and on-call responsibilities. Pay range for this position willdepend on candidate's experience level.

This position will require occasional material handling up to 120 pounds which could include floor lifts, shoulder lifts, overhead lifts, etc. The position will require frequent material handling up to 50 pounds. The position will require frequent bending and squatting and constant standing, walking and reaching.

Visual acuity requirement - Includes color, depth perception and field of vision:

Visual inspection involving small defects of parts such as rust, burrs, debris using visual inspection devices close to the eye or at a distance. Ability to see lifting equipment placement when loading, unloading, moving parts.
