Job summary

A leading manufacturer in engineering is seeking a full-time Maintenance Mechanic II at their Hermitage, PA facility. The ideal candidate will have a two-year technical degree and two years of related experience, including skills in mechanical and electrical systems. Responsibilities include diagnosing and maintaining machine tools, supporting LEAN principles, and adhering to preventive maintenance schedules. This position offers opportunities for growth and requires physical ability to lift and handle materials in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Two years related experience required.
• Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with gas combustion systems and periodic certification.
• Ability to read/interpret blueprints and schematics.

• Must be results oriented with a strong desire to succeed.
• Two-year technical degree in Mechanical or Electrical Technology.
• Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Basic knowledge in AC and DC motor drive controls.
• Experience with PLC controls.
• Familiar with manufacturing processes and machining equipment.
• Machine tool experience including major upgrades, revisions and installations both mechanically and with control systems.
• Experience with PLC Controls (Siemens SIMOTION, Siemens Step 7, Allen Bradley Studio 5000).
• Experience with gas combustion systems, set up, tuning and periodic certification.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a full-time person for a Maintenance Mechanic II position for our facility in Hermitage, PA. This is an hourly position that will report directly to the Maintenance Director. The position will require overtime, weekend shifts, rotating shifts and on-call responsibilities. Pay range will depend on experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Testing, diagnosing, repairing and maintaining machine tools including CNC controls, PLC hardware and software, control circuits, electro/mechanical systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Performing adjustments, alignments and calibrations on equipment
• Installing and upgrading new and current equipment to adhere to LEAN Principles
• Ensuring preventative maintenance schedules are performed on a regular basis
• Assisting with other duties, assignments and projects as required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires occasional material handling up to 120 pounds, frequent material handling up to 50 pounds, frequent bending and squatting, and constant standing, walking and reaching. The workplace is a manufacturing environment with exposure to loud noises, changing temperatures, and machinery with moving parts.
