Role Description

The Maintenance Mechanic role at MSC is a full-time, on-site position based in Hartford, CT. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production and coating equipment, including plasma and flame-spray systems, robotic coating equipment, and related machinery. Day-to-day tasks include performing preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and basic electrical issues, replacing and adjusting parts, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently. The Maintenance Mechanic will document maintenance activities, follow established safety and quality procedures, and collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to minimize downtime and support continuous improvement. The role may also involve assisting with equipment installations, calibrations, and upgrades to support evolving customer and production requirements.
