Job summary

Ashton Lewis Lumber Company Inc in North Carolina is seeking a maintenance technician to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair sawmill machinery and production equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend asset life.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Understanding of mechanical systems, tools and PPE.
• Willingness/ability to learn on the job under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain and repair sawmill machinery and production equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled inspections to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Follow LOTO and all mill safety protocols during maintenance activities.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and production emergencies.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
• Other duties may be assigned as required.
