Simple Staffing is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment, facility systems, and infrastructure, maximizing reliability and minimizing downtime.

The role covers mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and conveyor systems, with involvement in installations, fabrication, and process improvements. Candidates should be adept at reading schematics and performing preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
  • Working knowledge of conveyors, gearboxes, chains, sprockets, bearings, and industrial machinery.
  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and perform physical maintenance activities.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, attendance, and teamwork.
  • Must provide and maintain basic mechanic tools.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on production equipment and facility systems.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system issues.
  • Complete preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
  • Install, repair, and maintain machinery, conveyors, gearboxes, chains, sprockets, motors, piping, and related equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and maintenance documentation.
  • Perform welding, cutting, fabrication, and basic construction or renovation work as needed.
  • Assist with equipment startups, machine modifications, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Maintain accurate work orders, maintenance logs, and repair documentation.
  • Support contractors and vendors performing work within the facility.
  • Ensure work areas remain clean, organized, and safe.
  • Assist in training new maintenance team members when appropriate.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment, facility systems, and supporting infrastructure to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime. This role performs preventive and predictive maintenance activities while supporting continuous improvement, safety, quality, and operational excellence initiatives.

Technicians work with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and conveyor systems throughout the facility and assist with facility maintenance, equipment installations, fabrication projects, and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Experience with PLC and control systems.
