Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Maintenance Technician at our Enterprise, AL facility. You’ll be the first line of response for equipment issues, performing preventive and emergency repairs to keep production lines running safely and efficiently.

The role requires mobility to address breakdowns on the floor and in the workshop. Ongoing duties include routine inspections, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, and supporting the Plant Operations Team.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED Preferred
• Experience: 1+ years in the Maintenance Field; basic understanding of welding and electrical systems
• Skills: multitask, good communication, follow instructions, team player, able to work close to others
• Physical requirements: stand 8–11 hours daily; tolerate temperatures

Responsibilities

• Identify and apply standard symbols used in industrial documentation.
• Diagnose and repair drive-related issues to ensure optimal performance.
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot bearing failures.
• Assist in motor testing, diagnostics, and basic repairs.
• Analyze and troubleshoot electrical circuits using Ohm's Law and Kirchhoff's Laws.
• Safely use multimeters and other diagnostic tools.
• Execute welding operations following safety and quality standards.
• Interpret welding symbols and apply techniques for repairs and fabrication.
• Support the Maintenance and Plant Operations Team as needed.

Maintenance Technician

Hours

Shift: 2nd ( weekend work time varies)

1:30pm - 10:30pm Monday - Friday; Saturday times vary; 1 Weekday off per Week

Location: Enterprise, AL

In this essential role, you’ll serve as the first line of response for equipment-related issues, ensuring the smooth and safe operation of machinery throughout the facility at the processing plant located in Enterprise, AL. Between the production floor and the maintenance workshop, you’ll perform routine inspections, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, and carry out preventive and emergency repairs. The role also requires mobility to respond quickly to breakdowns or safety concerns on the production floor, helping maintain a reliable, efficient, and compliant processing environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Identify and apply standard symbols used in industrial documentation.

• Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the Maintenance and Plant Operations Team.

What You’ll Need

• Education: High School Diploma or GED Preferred
• Experience: Prefer 1+ years’ experience in the Maintenance Field and basic understanding of welding and electrical systems.
• Skills: ability to multitask and work quickly, have good communication skills, ability follow instructions, and must be a team player and be willing to work close to other employees at some stations. (Less than 3 feet apart.)
• Physical requirements: Ability to work in environments of various temperatures, ability to stand and use hands for 8-11 hours per day.
