Job summary

Luvata Ohio, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support and maintain plant systems, machinery and utilities in Delaware, Ohio. The role involves electrical/electronic tasks, mechanical work and the use of CNC equipment.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance, with shifts offering a 5% differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts. Strong problem-solving and math skills are essential for success in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong problem-solving and mechanical aptitude.
• Electrical/electronic experience preferred.
• Proficiency in technical reading and math.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work around hot metal.

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge to meet maintenance needs of Luvata Ohio, Inc.
• Maintain plant machinery, equipment, and utilities in good working order.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment using preventive and corrective techniques.
• Read and interpret drawings, manuals, and guidance materials.
• Work with high speed equipment, piping, valves, gauges and related systems.
• Keep the work area safe, clean and organized; report progress to supervisor.

You are a problem solver, good communicator, with a passion for mechanics.***What you'll be doing: ***Applies knowledge and experience in plant systems and equipment to meet the maintenance support needs of Luvata Ohio, Inc.Maintains some of the physical plant, machinery, equipment, and miscellaneous devices used for plant utilities, plant systems, and all production, service, and administrative departments.Uses preventive and corrective maintenance techniques to troubleshoot and repair some of the machinery and equipment throughout the facility.Uses preventive and corrective maintenance techniques to troubleshoot and repair some of the machinery and equipment throughout the facility.Uses miscellaneous hand and powered tools, pullers, jacks, rigging devices, fork trucks, calipers, measuring devices, and basic machine tools.Performs all job duties in accordance with applicable standards, techniques, drawings, and equipment specifications, and is able to interpret instructions, drawings, and guidance manuals.Works routinely with high speed equipment, high pressure systems, structural members, piping, valves, gauges, and miscellaneous devices.Assists in maintaining safe and orderly working conditions and performs work in such a manner as to not endanger oneself or fellow employees.Responsible for cleanup and general housekeeping of work area.Responsible for keeping supervisor informed of work-related problems and the progress of work assignments.Works under general supervision with guidance and instruction provided on most work assignments.
