Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking a maintenance technician for its Ohio distribution center. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing facility equipment, conveyors, and related systems, with an emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

The successful candidate will have 3–5 years of technical maintenance experience, relevant degrees or certificates, and hands-on skills in hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes and PLC controls.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or vocational certificate in mechanical or electrical field.
• 3-5 years of technical maintenance experience in industrial setting.
• Welding, cutting, and burning skills.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes and PLC controls.
• Familiarity with DC-specific software packages and equipment.
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings or schematics.
• Strong safety awareness and compliance (LOTO).
• Physical ability to stand, bend, lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to OSHA safety requirements and LOTO procedures.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment, conveyors, and related systems; follow PM standards.
• Record spare parts usage and inventory; keep accurate maintenance records.
• Train junior technicians to improve performance and troubleshooting skills.
• Collaborate with outside vendors to complete DC projects safely and on schedule.
• Support DC operations with any additional duties as needed.

OVERVIEW

Shift: 2B: Tuesday - Friday 5:30p - 3:30a

RATE

Rate: $29.55/hr. + $1/hr. shift dif

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety requirements including OSHA standards with regards to LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all equipment related to the facility and conveyance systems within the facility. Follow PM standards and document work performed for accurate record keeping in our asset management system. Areas of expertise must include PLC’s, conveyors, 3 phase electric, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and any other related equipment.
• Accurately report spare parts inventory levels and daily parts usage to Maintenance leadership to help ensure spare parts inventory is maintained.
• Assist in teammate development by training junior technicians in order to elevate their performance level while troubleshooting and repairing any related assets.
• Work closely with outside vendors in order to complete projects within the DCs in a safe and timely manor.
• Take on other duties as needed to support the DC and it’s operational needs

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate's Degree - 2 year vocational technical certificate or degree preferably in a mechanical or electrical application
• 3-5 years of experience
• Welding, burning, cutting
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes & PLC controls
• Familiar with DC-specific specialized software packages (ex. Crown PM, Gage) & equipment
• Able to read & understand electrical mechanical building type drawings/schematics
• Good safety awareness
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull & lift up to 75 lbs.
• Experience with LOTO

PAY AND BENEFITS

Targeted Pay Range: $29.55 - $42.90. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, experience and position offered. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job 'S Sporting Goods complies with all state paid leave requirements.
