Job summary

WestRock in Coal Center, PA seeks a Maintenance Mechanic to support a fast-paced packaging manufacturing facility, able to repair electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

You will install, start up and shut down equipment per safety and OSHA requirements; perform preventative maintenance; document maintenance records; assist with troubleshooting; and contribute to safety, reliability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Strong ability to maintain and repair electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Experience diagnosing equipment malfunctions and applying electrical/mechanical principles.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
• Knowledge of PLC programming and computer operation.
• Willingness to work various shifts and overtime.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Maintenance Mechanic – Coal Center, PA

The opportunity:

• Support the operation of a fast-paced packaging manufacturing facility. Must be able to conduct, maintain, test and repair electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components. Must be able to apply knowledge of electrical/mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and restore in all areas of Manufacturing.
• Primary duties include the install, start up and shut down of equipment in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown in line with OSHA requirements; inform appropriate management and line mechanics of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved and maintain company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment. The job also includes performing preventative maintenance functions as directed, assist maintenance personnel with technical troubleshooting and to perform other duties as required.
