Job summary

American Aluminum Extrusion Company in Canton, OH is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will repair and maintain forklifts and other mobile equipment across our facility, applying hands-on expertise and a proactive approach to troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.

You will work independently and with others to inspect, diagnose, and repair engines, hydraulic and electrical systems, and perform routine maintenance.

Qualifications

• 5 years experience in repairing and maintaining forklifts and similar industrial equipment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Comfortable in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift and move equipment or parts that weigh up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in awkward positions for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain industrial forklifts and other material-handling equipment.

MAINTENANCE MECHANIC

Full Time Canton, OH, US

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Forklift Mechanic to join our Maintenance team! The ideal candidate will have a strong background with hands on experience in the repair and maintenance of forklifts and other mobile equipment, such as bobcats, back hoes, scissor lifts, genie boom lifts and other material handling and industrial equipment throughout the facility. This role requires a self-motivated, dependable, and driven proactive approach to trouble-shooting, problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a manufacturing environment.
