Georgia-Pacific Brunswick mill is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to enhance reliability of industrial equipment through troubleshooting and preventive maintenance. This role collaborates with the operations and maintenance teams to meet production, quality, and safety goals.
Shifts begin 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with overtime and potential transition to rotating 12-hour shifts; compensation is $43.94 per hour.
Georgia-Pacific Cellulose, LLC has an opportunity for a talented Maintenance Mechanic to enhance operations at its facility in Brunswick, Georgia. The Mechanic will create value by ensuring machine reliability by performing troubleshooting and by using preventative maintenance techniques on industrial plant equipment. The Millwright will work collaboratively with their team members to ensure that the facility is operating at its highest level to meet production, quality and safety goals.
Compensation: $43.94 per hour
Shift: This position works a 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. schedule, with overtime as needed and the potential to transition to a rotating 12-hour shift schedule (including applicable shift differentials for 2nd and 3rd shifts). All shift maintenance employees are active members of the Mill Emergency Response Team (ERT), requiring ongoing training, participation in drills, and readiness to respond to on-site emergencies such as fire, medical, and environmental incidents to support the safety of employees and mill operations.
The Georgia-Pacific Brunswick mill, which has been in operation since 1937, has the capability to produce over 800,000 tons of cellulose each year.
