Job summary

Oliver Inc. is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic for the 2nd shift to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, rebuild, and improve presses and other manufacturing equipment.

The role requires hands-on work with machining, welding, fabrication, and various machine tools in a dynamic production setting. You will work with production teams to identify issues, determine repair strategies, and implement improvements to increase reliability and reduce downtime.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret technical procedures, diagrams, and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair presses and other manufacturing equipment.
• Collaborate with supervisors and crews to resolve equipment performance issues.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine the right repair solution.
• Rebuild machines, equipment, and components as needed.
• Research and implement equipment modifications to increase reliability and reduce failures.
• Communicate with manufacturers and vendors about failures, parts, or repairs.
• Decide whether repairs should be done in-house or outsourced.
• Maintain inventory of mechanical parts and source suppliers based on availability and cost.
• Design, machine, weld, and fabricate parts for equipment.
• Operate lathe, milling machine, surface grinder, and drill press.
• Assist with general facility maintenance and respond to shift issues or emergencies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
