Job summary

Oliver Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join our manufacturing team. This hands-on role maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, rebuilds, and improves presses and other equipment to keep production running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of mechanical experience, strong troubleshooting, and experience with machining, welding and fabrication. High school diploma required; electrical work certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical experience in manufacturing.
• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Hands-on machining, welding and fabrication experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair presses and other manufacturing equipment.
• Work with supervisors and production crews to resolve equipment issues.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine repair solutions.
• Rebuild machines and components as needed.
• Implement equipment modifications to increase reliability.
• Communicate with manufacturers and vendors about repairs or improvements.
• Determine whether repairs should be done in-house or outsourced.
• Maintain a parts inventory and identify suppliers by cost and quality.
• Operate lathe, milling machine, surface grinder, drill press.
• Assist with general facility maintenance including carpentry.
