Job summary

Oliver Inc. is hiring a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our manufacturing team on 2nd shift. This hands-on role maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, rebuilds, and improves presses and other equipment to ensure peak performance.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of mechanical experience in a manufacturing setting, strong troubleshooting ability, and hands-on machining, welding, and fabrication skills. High school diploma required; electrical work certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Thorough knowledge of mechanical systems, machinery and maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Hands-on repair, rebuilding and modification of equipment.
• Experience with machining, welding and fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and diagrams.
• High school diploma and certifications for electrical work.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair presses and other manufacturing equipment.
• Identify and resolve equipment performance issues with production crews.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine repair solutions.
• Rebuild machines, equipment, and components as needed.
• Implement equipment modifications to increase reliability.
• Communicate with manufacturers and vendors about failures and repairs.
• Decide whether repairs should be done in-house or outsourced.
• Maintain inventory of mechanical parts and source suppliers.
• Design, machine, weld, and fabricate parts for equipment.
• Perform various welding and machine shop operations.
• Assist with general facility maintenance and tasks.
• Respond to equipment issues during assigned shift hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
