Job summary

Regenity Biosciences, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform maintenance, calibration, and repairs on manufacturing equipment. This role supports safety, productivity, yields, reliability, and cost improvements, requiring professionalism and confidentiality.

You will troubleshoot, read blueprints and electrical schematics, and supervise external contractors as needed. The position requires a GED/Associate degree and 5–7 years of hands-on mechanical experience in a cleanroom

Qualifications

  • Minimum of GED/high school diploma or an Associates degree in a relevant field.
  • 5–7 years of experience working as a mechanic.
  • Experience with blending, granulation, compression and coating processes desirable, but not required.
  • Solid ability to follow written and oral instructions with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to read and understand standard operational procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains production and quality by ensuring operation of manufacturing equipment and machinery.
  • Performs preventive maintenance and calibration on packaging and automated equipment lines.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves recurring equipment issues to improve reliability.
  • Reads equipment manuals, observes operation, and uses testing instruments to locate problems.

Job description

The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible to perform maintenance, calibration, and repairs to manufacturing equipment. This position ensures the continuity of improving safety, productivity, yields, reliability, and manufacturing costs. The successful candidate will possess a high degree of professionalism, maturity, and confidentiality.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Maintains production and quality by ensuring operation of manufacturing equipment and machinery
  • Performs preventive maintenance and calibration work on manufacturing equipment with emphasis on packaging equipment and automated equipment lines
  • Trouble-shoots and resolves recurring equipment issues and improves reliability
  • Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; reading equipment manuals, and using measuring and testing instruments
  • Disassembles and repairs equipment and instruments
  • Makes recommendations regarding safety and equipment operation procedures. Makes recommendations when equipment needs to be replaced instead of repaired
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment and maintains strict compliance with company cGMPs and documentation rules
  • Maintains general facility equipment to ensure production plants are fully functional.
  • Performs minor repairs on facility (ex. spackling, plumbing, painting), as the need arises.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 50 pounds. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position manages projects and supervises outside service and contractor personnel as needed.

Education, Experience and Certification:
  • This position requires a minimum of GED/high school diploma or an Associates degree in a relevant field, and requires a minimum of 5-7 years of experience working as a mechanic
  • Experience with blending, granulation, compression and coating processes is desirable, but not required.
  • Solid ability to follow written and oral instructions with minimum supervision
  • Ability to understand and follow standard operational procedures
  • Good communication skill, both verbal and written reports.
  • Experience identifying problems and taking independent initiative to solve
  • Ability to work from blue prints and drawings in constructing and repairing equipment
  • Strong experience preparing procedures and cGMP documents
  • Knowledgeable reading and interpreting electrical schematics and PLC boards
  • Must be able to accurately document work in both written and electronic form
