Job summary

The Lawrence Paper Company in Lawrence, KS is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join the maintenance department. You will perform a full range of manufacturing maintenance tasks using independent judgment to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy machinery.

Responsibilities include mechanical and hydraulic repairs, rigging and machine alignment, forklift upkeep, and reading blueprints and schematics. Welding and electrical work are part of the role, with opportunities to obtain required

Qualifications

• Must have prior manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Welding experience desired but not required.
• Electrical experience desired but not required.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are required.
• Must be self-motivated with good communication skills.
• Must be able to read blueprints and schematics.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance department. As a Maintenance Technician , you will be responsible for performing a full range of manufacturing maintenance assignments using independent judgement to make decisions requiring the application of procedures and practices to specific work situations. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining heavy machinery.

Responsibilities

• Industrial mechanical, pipe fitting, and hydraulic repairs.
• Rigging, aligning machines and belt and pulley drives.
• Fork Truck maintenance.
• Troubleshooting and repairing all types of equipment and machinery.
• Reading blue prints and schematics.
• Welding and electrical work.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must have a prior manufacturing maintenance experience.

• Must be self motivated and have great communication skills.
• Must be able to read blue prints and schematics.

• Must be able and willing to obtain various licenses/certifications in order to work in certain areas or on certain equipment (fork lift, aerial, rigging, skid steer, battery, etc).
