Mercy Housing is hiring a Maintenance Manager for Trailview Apartments in Bellingham, WA. This on-site role involves hands-on building upkeep, collaborating with property management, and overseeing budget and vendor contracts to ensure safe, welcoming homes.

Responsibilities

• Patch and paint walls, trim, and ceilings.
• Clean, repair, and maintain appliances.
• Prepare units for new residents, including turnover work.
• Perform routine plumbing and electrical repairs.
• Manage day-to-day maintenance functions.
• Assist with maintenance budget oversight.
• Coordinate and manage vendor contracts in collaboration with the property management team.

Location: Trailview Apartments | Bellingham, WA

Pay: $28-32/hour, depending on experience

The Maintenance Manager is a hands‑on position. You will work in collaboration with property management, perform building maintenance functions, and oversee budget and vendor contracts for Trailview Apartments in Bellingham.

What You’ll Do

Knowledge And Skills

• Perform basic math and understand measurement systems used in the trade.
• Read and interpret electrical, plumbing, and mechanical diagrams and blueprints. Draft working sketches.
• Use maintenance, trade, and testing equipment and tools.
• Effectively oversee work progress of vendors or outside contractors.
• Legally operate a motor vehicle
